/Happy last day of February!
As you know (unless you're new to my online community—in which case, welcome!), at the close of every month, I share a few of my favorite listens, reads, and resources.
As we move into March, I hope these resources encourage and inspire you as you pursue a life of purpose, joy, and intimacy with God!
As always, you are in my thoughts and prayers, and I’d love to hear from you! You can contact me here or through the comment section below!
In purpose and faith,
Finding Joy in Everyday Life...
Before we get to the resources, here are a few things that brought me joy this month!
A photo from one of several date nights Paul and I got to enjoy in February—including seeing Sarah Jarosz live in concert. 🎉
This cute little boreal owl has been hanging around our yard. We don’t see them often, so it’s always a treat when we do.
What brought you joy this past month? I'd love to hear about it!
Resources to Inspire, Encourage, and Equip
I've been reading...
“What I Discovered Waiting Beyond My ‘Safe’ Faith” by Laurie Davies
“…I was at a career crossroads when a friend said to me: ‘You have a gift. One day, God is going to ask, “What did you do with that gift I gave you? Did you take it out of the gift wrap for Me?”’
Two-by-Four: 1

“I wondered how my husband would feel if he gave me a gift and I never opened it. The thought of him selecting an item just for me, wrapping it in shiny paper, writing my name on it, and then watching me just let it sit on the floor drove me there. To the floor. To my knees…”
—Laurie Davies
In this inspiring article, my writer friend Laurie Davies shares about the wild, courageous leap of faith she took to steward the gift God gave her—and the “exhilaration of a life really lived” that has come as result.
You can read the article here.
I’ve also been reading…
“Finding Your Mount of Olives” by Sarah Schmidt
“If Jesus needed regular time with God, then I have learned over and over how much more important it is for me to follow Jesus’ example in doing the same!”
—Sarah Schmidt
In this beautiful piece, my writer friend Sarah reflects on Jesus’ practice of retreating to the Mount of Olives, shares about her own special spot, and offer gentle encouragement for us to find our own place to connect with God. You can read the full post here.
I've been watching...
“How Saying No Moves Us Closer To God” by Matt Tommey
I’m currently writing an article entitled “3 Times Jesus Said No to People Pleasing,” so this video from Matt Tommey really resonated.
In it, he shares about how saying no to things that are good but not the best for us “creates space in your life for the things that really matter.” I couldn’t agree more! In fact, I’ve become convinced that the ability to say no is essential to fulfilling our God-given callings.
This video is short and sweet at just 3 minutes long, and you can watch it here.
I've been listening...
“This Love” by Jonathan Ogden
About the song, in Jonathan’s words: “‘This Love’ is a joyful, celebratory song about the love of God. Taking inspiration from Psalm 8 and Ephesians 3, it's a song to declare the incomparable love that God shows to us. It's difficult to put into words but for those who have experienced the love of God, we know that it is so much better than anything else the world could offer. We were made to experience this love, and when we do, everything feels right.”
Congratulations...

...Is it time to say goodbye to something in your life? Leaving can be hard because it can feel like losing—and sometimes it does come with a loss.
But so often what we let go of is vastly outweighed by what we gain when we open our hands in trust...
