Do You Worry About The World Your Children Are Growing Up In? Are You Feeling Fearful, Angry, Or Hurt By Current And Past Events? This Is What I’m Praying For You.

My heart has been heavy in the last couple of weeks.
The news and our social media feeds are full of tragedy, grief, anger, fear, and opinions of every variety. In the midst of all this, I’ve been wrestling with questions, working through emotions, and having conversations. ⠀
⠀
One of my questions has been whether/how to address our national concerns in my blog and on social media. After much thought and prayer, I decided that one of the best things—not the only thing, but one of the best—I can do right now is pray.⠀
⠀
So I’ve been doing a lot of praying.
⠀
And I just want you to know:⠀
⠀
If you’ve experienced racism or other forms of malice, I am so sorry. My heart is with you, and I am praying for healing, restoration, and racial reconciliation.⠀
⠀
If you’re feeling fearful of the future or angry about current and past events, if you worry about the world your children are growing up in--I’m praying. I’m praying you will be immersed in the peace of God that transcends all understanding.⠀
⠀
If you are part of the law enforcement community, I’m praying. I’m praying for wisdom, justice, peace, and safety to prevail.⠀
⠀
I’m praying. And I’m thanking God that He promises to work all things for our good (Romans 8:28) and that what the devil means for evil will be turned to good (Genesis 5:20) in our lives, our communities, and our country. We are in a spiritual battle, but prayers--your prayers and mine--really do make a difference. 2020 seems to have taken another turn for the worse, but the story isn't over, and I know God has good in store. Through Him, we can find the unity and peace we all long for.
I’m listening and I would love to hear your thoughts!
In purpose and faith,
P.S.

...Is it time to say goodbye to something in your life? Leaving can be hard because it can feel like losing—and sometimes it does come with a loss.
But so often what we let go of is vastly outweighed by what we gain when we open our hands in trust...
