My Unconventional Love Language (Can You Guess What It Is?)

I was sitting on my couch the other day, resting from baby wrangling, when I glimpsed a flash of white out of the corner of my eye.
When I turned to look, I saw it wasn’t just the first snow blanketing the yard that had caught my attention. Rather, to my surprise and delight, it was an ermine!
I don’t think ermine are uncommon per se, but I’ve only seen a handful in my entire life here in Fairbanks. This was the tiniest one I’ve seen—it looked like a miniature ferret, maybe four or five inches long.
It zipped around the flower box on our deck a few times, and as fast as they are, I managed to capture a short video—so cute and such fun!
Sometimes I joke that wildlife is one of my love languages because I always feel God’s love and delight when I see His creatures—especially when they show up right on my doorstep! (You can read about my encounters with a groundhog and a lynx here and here).
What little (or big) ways have you felt God’s love lately?
Do you and God have a unique love language that makes you feel special and seen?
On this journey of embracing our callings and moving forward with courage, nothing matters more than our heart connection with God.
I pray that today you see and receive all the ways He is showering love on you. And may you also experience something extra special that delights you on a deep level.
As always, you are in my thoughts and prayers, and I’d love to hear from you! You can contact me here or through the comment section below!
